Had the pleasure of spending my Friday night with my significant other and we decided to go into this restaurant. From first glance, the ambiance was AMAZING! I was surprised they were not busy at all. Literally we were the only people in the restaurant!! Service was great, the man who served us was really nice and polite. The food is BOMB! Decided to get the yellowtail roll, red rose roll, and the Godzilla roll! Please come support this restaurant!

You will not leave hungry here. Ample servings with a tasty variety of different dishes. Super respectful and expedient service. Quaint locale to have a meal away from the busier areas in town. 4 of us dined for just over $110 with tip.

Came down here because this was only one place (as far as I know) that had some kind of AYCE sushi; all others were either removed to the COVID wrecking their business or they were closed that day (was on vacay during July 4th week) It's $40/person... but it doesn't offer all the sushi options compared to the main menu. I wished I took a photo of the AYCE menu you were given but there was definitely more than enough options to choose from. Also, it's not a typical AYCE (like in Las Vegas if you're had AYCE over there). - 1st order, you can choose up to 3 items in the AYCE menu; you CANNOT do half-rolls. I asked and they can only accept whole rolls for the first two orders - 2nd order, same thing as above but now only 2 items - 3rd order + beyond, you can order only 1 item BUT half-rolls are accepted. My first AYCE order was Red Dragon roll, Green Dragon roll, and Angel Hair. They were good but also VERY generous-sized rolls... so much so that I didn't feel compelled to get another full roll of sushi for my second order, even though I REALLY wanted to make the most of the AYCE. Instead, my second order was just firecracker chicken and miso soup. Chicken had WAY too much sauce, so I had to remove some but aside that, it was good. In terms of cost, I think it was kinda worth it; on the main menu, the 3 rolls I got were around $15-16 each because they're special rolls, so you got a bit of a discount going to AYCE route. Getting the firecracker chicken + miso soup made the value of the $40 AYCE a bit more better. So I suppose if you wanted to eat 3 big special rolls + 2 appetizers, then maybe the $40 AYCE is kinda of a good value.... If I could do it all over again - my first 3 orders would been a special roll and 2 small appetizers - then second order would be two rolls, one classical roll and one special roll - third order and beyond will unlock half-rolls so that way I can have more variety. At the minimum, I would always try to end with miso soup because it feels nice to my stomach. That's my preference though. My friend got one of their bento boxes meals and it's a lot of food in his opinion; he had to take it to go. All in all, I recommend it if you got the AYCE hunger + good amount of food for a decent to good price.

We wanted to try poke bowl because it's such a hot day and we were not disappointed at all. We had poke bowl and salmon bento dinner. Good portion for the price. Tasted great and fresh. Service is awesome and fast. Very clean and roomy. Highly recommend!!

S21 always hits the spot for our family when we need a Japanese food fix. Local mom/pop places we love to support vs the Big named places. Delicious, decent priced, sweet couple who run this place. Never disappoints.

Beautifully run true mom and pop restaurant. Becoming more of a unicorn these days with the increasing cost of overhead to run a family owned restaurant. Had the shrimp yakisoba and a couple of sushi rolls from the 2 for $20 menu. Very fresh and you can see care was put into the meal presentation. Was quiet for a weeknight, don't be in a rush. Great food takes time!

Very tasty sushi for a great price! We've been here a few times and have been satisfied with each roll we've gotten. They are quick, too! I highly recommend the Green Dragon Roll. Also, kind of a funny note, but the water tastes very filtered and great! Doesn't have the usual tap water taste. The staff here are super friendly and nice.

Went here again last week for their version of "all you can eat." Basically you get six rolls off the AYCE menu. The rolls are huge so they fill you up. The construction of the rolls is good. The fish is fresh and there is enough of it. $40 for "AYCE" but that's par for the course here in Fresno. The owner and his wife (I think?) were very polite and efficient. Service was good. Best AYCE sushi in Fresno right now. Not much competition but I am really grateful I can get good sushi for a reasonable price. Five stars.

We've been on a hunt to try different ramen places in Fresno and heard about S21. We dropped by for lunch and it looks like they are short staffed. We only saw one person manning the front and a chef. Food took about 45 minutes (for 4 people). We ordered the gyoza, tonkatsu ramen and the red dragon roll. The gyoza was fresh and crunchy. Not bad at all, didn't care for the soy sauce they gave us. It gave us a bitter taste at the end. The broth for the tonkatsu was pretty good. Warning that if you ask for it spicy they literally chop up Thai chilis and throw them in there lol so not the typical spice for ramen. The red dragon roll was huge. Pretty good for the price, however the sauce that it says it comes with (sweet & spicy) was not spicy at all. I think that it only comes with the unagi sauce on top. Overall, pretty good for the price. The staff was very nice. I'd come back!
